First Day of School at Hilltop Montessori

Adair and Emalyn started school today at their new school, Hilltop Montessori School.  We are so excited for this new learning environment.  We know it will be a great year for both of them.

They are in the same class, as Montessori groups children in multi-age groups.  Their teachers are Ms. Marcia and Miss Roopa.  They are a wonderful team with lots of experiences and lessons to share with our girls.

Emalyn is in 3k and will go to school everyday until noon.  Adair is starting Kindergarten and will go everyday until 3 pm!  She is so excited and I know that she is ready for "big" school, but it is hard for this mommy to let her go.  She is most looking forward to learning to read and write better and doing math.

We know it will be a great year for both of them!  We look forward to watching them learn and grow this year!

Family Beach Trip

We had a wonderful time of our first family beach trip!  The girls loved the sand, ocean and pool!  What a special week of spending time with just our little family!

Emalyn's Ballerina Birthday Party

Emalyn and her sweet friend, Anne Fulton, celebrated their third birthdays just three days apart, so my friend, Melissa and I decided to have a joint birthday party.   Both girls love to dance and twirl, so we went with a ballerina theme and it was a hit!

Emalyn had the best time dancing with Anne Fulton and their friends!  She didn't stop moving from the minute her feet hit the floor until the last guest was gone!  Such a sweet day of celebration for all of us!

Emalyn is THREE!

Emalyn is three!  We had a fun day celebrating our spunky middle daughter!  We started the day with Krispy Kreme doughnuts, then built a monkey at Build-a-Bear Workshop and finished the day with Chinese take out followed by cupcakes.

Our sweet Emalyn enjoyed every minute of her birthday this year!  She has this birthday thing all figured out!

We are so thankful that we get to celebrate every birthday with this precious child!  She is incredibly active, loving, talkative and excitable these days!  She keeps us on our toes and we wouldn't have it any other way!
